Connor Williams came to us in elementary school for work on phonemic awareness and his reading and spelling skills. He came to us again at the end of eighth grade. His reading and spelling were good, but he needed to improve his comprehension. We worked with him on imaging what he reads and creating clear, organized thoughts on the material. Our main challenge was melding his ability to spell with his ability to organize thoughts.
Connor started ninth grade not long ago, and we just received this report from his mother:
Here is Connor’s first paper he wrote all by himself on Monday!!! I am so proud. I always knew he could do it, if we could get to the bottom of the learning issues. I have never read anything like it from him. Can you tell how excited I am???? Thanks Billie and Melinda, I appreciate you all more than you will ever know.
