A 2nd Grade Success Story

Here’s an exciting letter from the mother of a 2nd grader who attended ALP from mid-February to mid-May 2013. His success with the MAP testing at school sure makes us proud of him! He worked hard and achieved much.

“I wanted to share some exciting news about J.P. and his MAP test results!

In the Fall of this year (October) his scores were

  • Math:
Percentile range         1-1-3 (not a typo!)
with a score of 149 and average Blue Valley child in 2nd grade scored 185
  • Reading:
    Percentile range         3-5-8
with a score of 151 and average Blue Valley child in 2nd grade scored 185

April testing results:

  • Math:
    Percentile range         65-73-80
with a score of 199 and average Blue Valley child in 2nd grade scored 198
  • Reading:
    Percentile range:         35-43-52
with a score of 187 and average blue valley child scored 198

The percentile range is compared to all peers who took the test!

We are excited about his growth!! I feel like we still have some work to do on the reading but what great improvement! THANKS ALP!!!”

We’re so pleased for him! His processing has improved and he’s able to be successful in school!
